See the 100,000 people trapped at a train station in China

The Chinese New Year falls on February 8, and the impending holiday has resulted in a crowd of over 100,000 people who are trapped at the Guangzhou railway station in southern China, all of them desperate to get home in time for the celebrations.
This spectacle is worsened by the fact that heavy snow in northern and central provinces prevented trains from getting to Guangzhou on time.

Reuters reports that many people at the station have been standing for more than 10 hours, waiting for the 32 trains that are yet to arrive, while some have been at the station for over two days.
To maintain order and avoid a stampede like the sad event of December 31 that left 36 people dead and many injured In Shanghai, more than 2,600 security operatives have been deployed. Also, buses have been barred from dropping more people off at the terminal until the present crowd is dispersed.
