Assassin's Creed Odyssey is currently available for $40 on Amazon

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is the latest entry in the staple franchise which takes place hundreds of years before the establishment of the "Assassin's Brotherhood". According to Ubisoft — building upon the foundation of Assassin's Creed Origins — Assassin's Creed Odyssey takes player choice to the next level.

Usually, the game sells for $59.99 for the standard edition. This is understandable because it's essentially brand new. Assassin's Creed Odyssey launched only a few months ago. However, if you shop on Amazon, you're in luck. Right now, the title is discounted to $39.99. Be sure to get this deal fast because the discount will only last for another ten hours or so.

Even if you don't own the season pass, there's a lot of content in the game. Plus, there are a lot of free missions coming to everyone soon. The major additions in have to be the "The Lost Tales of Greece" episodes, "Epic Events," and visual customization.

While Assassin's Creed Odyssey might not be as great as Assassin's Creed Origins, it's still a lot of fun and takes place in a massive world. In our review, we said the game "is a great entry in the wider series, largely bug-free, with great visuals and tight combat. But many of the 'new' features Ubisoft included aren't as well executed as you might hope from an annual franchise. I wish Ubisoft had fleshed out the mercenary ladder and mercenary crew a bit more to tie them into the game's story."
