Neymar gets waxwork from Madame Tussauds as birthday gift

Barcelona superstar Neymar must be going through a rollercoaster of emotions at the moment – widely acclaimed as the most electric footballer at the moment, linked with an astonishing £144 million
bid from Manchester United, and mired in multiple legal battles – a birthday celebration may be the last thing on his mind.

However, the Brazil captain who turns 24 on February 5th has got some good tidings by way of a wax figure to commemorate his birthday from the famous Madame Tussauds.

Neymar was reportedly involved with the creation of his wax twin and took time out from mesmerizing opponents to meet with Madame Tussauds artists to have measurements taken in Barcelona.

The Selecao icon chose the figure’s pose to reflect his goal celebration from the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, which he called “the most important moment of my career.”

“It is truly an honour to have such an important moment of my life captured in wax by the amazing team at Madame Tussauds,” Neymar added.

“I cannot wait for my fans all over the world to meet my wax twin in Orlando!”

Neymar will unveil the figure this spring in Barcelona and his wax double will travel to its permanent home in Orlando.

Madame Tussauds already has a replica of Neymar’s Barca colleague and five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Lionel Messi.
