Before the year 2015 came to a close, we reported
that former beauty queen Omowunmi Akinnifesi was set to launch two fashion
labels; Omowunmi, an upscale label and OMA, a more pocket-friendly line.
Yesterday, the ex-MBGN-turned-fashion
designer released the debut campaign forOmowunmi, which starred familiar faces
like top model Uju Nwobodo and the present Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria,
Unoaku Anyadike. The campaign was photographed by Kelechi Amadi Obi and
styled/directed by Godson Ukaegbu.
From work-wear sophistication to cocktail cool,
Omowunmi’s practical approach to dressing women has resulted in a collection of
clothes that will suit all body types. Privileged to have previewed both
collections, I can assure fashion lovers that the Omowunmi label, unlike many
others, did not ignore the importance of creating wearable clothing with
impeccable finishing.
This is definitely a ’round the clock collection
for the working woman!
