The two-time Premier League champions livened what has been a pretty drab deadline transfer day with the announcement that the Bayern Munich coach would be joining them in the summer.

The Catalan has agreed to a three-year deal to move to the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season, with current coach Manuel Pellegrini making way.

Despite the fact that Pep’s coming to Eastlands had been an open secret, the club’s website still struggled to cope with the demand and forced the technical team to relocate the statement as their homepage blanked.

And If you have a chance to have Pep Guardiola as your manager, you don't turn that down. The man's a genius.

I'd love to see Pep Guardiola at a mid table team. Let's see how well he performs without a squad of superstars at his disposal. Over rated.
