Yesterday, Atlanta radio station V-103 apologised
to Dencia in an attempt to distance themselves from the comments made by
actress and director, Lisa Raye McCoy against Whitenicious.
Recall that McCoy while promoting her new movie
went on the radio station to slam Dencia’s beauty cream, claiming it causes
skin cancer and dark knuckles/elbows. But when the Nigerian-Cameroonian
entertainer threatened her with a lawsuit and demanded a retraction, McCoy
backtracked.

In a statement to TMZ, McCoy’s lawyers claimed the
actress was not referring to Whitenicious, that what she said was
‘White-a-licious’ which has no connection to Dencia’s beauty product. But
Dencia refused to accept that excuse and has gone on to file a lawsuit against
her.
Last night, the Atlanta radio station released an
official statement on air apologising to Dencia for the comments McCoy made on
their programme and dissociating themselves. “Statements stated by Lisa Raye
McCoy while she was here were her personal views and not shared by this radio
station,” OAP Big Tigger read out, adding that they regret any error.
Dencia shared the station’s statement on Instagram
but insisted that she is not accepting any apologies and is still going on with
the lawsuits.
